Long experience has given us an appreciation of the resilience, patience and sensibilities of client personnel charged with organising an event. It’s always a weighty responsibility. Yes, you might get a few brownie points if you come up with a winner but if you don’t pull it off, well, get ready for everyone’s gaze to fall upon you.

It doesn’t help the stress levels to discover that so much that’s out there passing as corporate events and entertainment is hackneyed and tired, and hardly likely to impress seasoned guests who have, in event terms, been there, done that and quite probably got the T-shirt and commemorative photo. And yet you’re still tasked with the challenge of informing or entertaining your audience, frequently both at the same time, and just can’t see how another Casino Night, Driving Experience or Day at the Races will fire the imagination.

Cue Masquerade. Devising something that will do just that while meeting all the other requirements of the brief is what we’re in business for, it’s what we thrive on and it’s what enables us to take the pressure off you. And before you worry that we’re talking outrageously expensive production numbers here, we’re not. Of course, you can have one of those if you want (!) but we are always ultimately governed by the budget you're working with. The really good news is that with Masquerade you do get a lot of creativity for your money – low budgets don’t equate to high boredom! Nor do we discriminate between blue-chip names and the ambitious small business when it comes to service - every client gets 100% of us, every time.

Event optimisation
It’s the initial creative concept and the development of that into a complete thematic treatment that sits at the heart of what we do. Yes, you will sometimes see familiar attractions and props (including the casino table, the fast cars and hospitality box!) but they will be enlivened by the setting and the theme, and your guests will enjoy the dynamics of a live action ‘performance’ rather than the soullessness of a static set. Interaction and participation, excitement and anticipation, a unique experience, not a clichéd event – that’s our promise to you.

As for getting it right on the day or night, that’s a given. If you can’t effortlessly manage logistics and people, you have no right to call yourself a professional events organiser. But we also take ‘event optimisation’ very seriously. It’s not enough for us for an event to go according to plan; we have to ensure that every aspect of the conference, the party, the day out, whatever, is the very best it can be. That means constantly evaluating situations, reading people, judging the dynamics of the event, making adjustments, thoroughly immersing oneself in what’s happening and not just standing on the sidelines keeping your fingers crossed. It’s a hard quality to quantify but one that clients relish because it takes the burden off their shoulders. Maybe it’s Masquerade going that extra M – that extra mile to make your event a success. Those brownie points are in the bag…
