The client

LogicaCMG

The brief

To devise a Christmas party that would motivate and reward the staff after a particularly difficult year.

The challenge

To gather staff from offices across the UK - Edinburgh, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and surrounding London areas - and to hold an event that was completely original in concept and refreshing in deliver.

The solution

A quite unique and very different Oscars Award Ceremony held at London's Cafe Royal. Hosted by ‘Groucho Marx’ and ‘Ben Kingsley’, the star-studded occasion allowed staff to enjoy an event which otherwise would have been just a dinner dance with standard entertainment. Employees rubbed shoulders with the likes of ‘George Clooney’, ‘Marilyn Monroe’, and ‘Inspector Clouseau’, all helping to contribute to the unexpected. With additional spectacular entertainment, the whole night really captured their imagination – LogicaCMG’s in-house jazz band even joined in the fun and gave the night yet another dimension.

The work

This event was totally tailor-made by the versatile professionalism of Masquerade. From the initial brief through to the event itself, the Masquerade team ensured that every detail was covered and that the surprise on the night was perfectly executed.

The verdict

LogicaCMG had no previous experience of what Masquerade could offer and they certainly delivered on their “Expect the Unexpected” promise. The feedback from the employees was that the whole evening was simply sensational, the best party we have ever been to. And, judging by the photographic evidence, everyone had a really good time, so the challenge was duly met. Indeed, staff have told the joint MDs that it exceed every expectation - it has to be considered a triumph.
